Photo Of The Week

Today's photo of the week was taken by Joseph Zahnle Photography at the 25th Annual 2016 Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic in Boise, Idaho. Here is a what Joseph had to say about the photo:

"This is what they call the Night Glow. The crew lets in enough gas to light the inside of the balloon. It is only short bursts (1 to 5 seconds) because too much would burn the balloons.
To shoot this and catch all balloons lit, I waited for the announcer to start the count down. 3, 2, 1.  I would then open the shutter and leave it open for 9 to 15 seconds to be able to catch all the balloons lit .This shot was 9 seconds at F. 8, ISO 100 and a 18 mm lens."
