Wedding Photography Winners Announced At Best Photo Contests!

We are thrilled to announce the winners from the first ever photography contest at BestPhotoContests.com!

We partnered with SnapKnot  to start Best Photo Contests because we see so many amazing photos every single day and we decided to celebrate the art of photography. Our first contest was for wedding photography and there were so many amazing photos submitted.

The $1,000 grand prize photo was taken by Light & Co. There were also 5 runners up who received a free 6-month SnapKnot membership!

Be sure to stay tuned… a new photo contest will be starting sometime in March 2018 and there are going to be more categories to choose from – it will not just be for wedding photography.

Smithsonian Magazine had their 14th Annual Photo Contest ran from March 22 - November 30, 2016. With over 48,000 submissions from photographers in 146 countries and territories to choose from, the judges have narrowed down to 70 finalists that you have the opportunity to vote on to help choose the winners. 

Contestants submitted photos to the following seven categories: Natural World, The American Experience, Travel, People, Altered Images, Mobile, and Sustainable Travel. The Sustainable Travel category is made possible through the support of United Eco-Skies.

Voting for the Readers’ Choice winner will close on Monday, March 27. Voting is limited to one vote per user per day. Click here to vote for the Readers’ Choice winner from among the 70 finalists. The Grand Prize, Readers’ Choice, and seven category winners will be announced on Tuesday, March 28.

Winners Of The Guardian Travel Photography Contest

Over the past year, people have entered thousands of photos to The Guardian's monthly travel photography competition. Here are a few winner photos that we wanted to share with you today!

Ciara Milne took this photo on honeymoon in Montenegro where a trail led to a lake in Biogradska Gora national park led them to this tranquil location. This photo was in the Summer category.

This spectacular scene on Powfoot beach in Scotland suddenly burst into life just before sunset and Chris McBain captured it beautifully! It was in the Coast category.

This photo was taken for the Solitude category by Rukhsana Yates and is a Douglas Super DC-3 plan that lies hollow and forgotten on a deserted and black-sand beach in Iceland.

This was the overall runner-up taken by Finbarr Fallon and was in the Architecture category. The Choi Hung estate is one of the oldest public housing complexes in Hong Kong.

The overall winner photo was taken by Michael Grolys in the Wild category. When Michael was ascending Hallin Fell in the Lake District he experience snow, rain, sleet, strong winds and captured this shot when the sun was filtering through the clouds.
